Mission Statement

Honey Heart Kids Yoga is about feeding the spirit that fuels the Heart, Imagination, and the Body of a child as she envisions a future with solutions beyond our capacity to dream.

Lessons introduce yoga poses (asana) and breathing relaxation through storytelling, singing, affirmations, and games. Honey Heart Yoga reintroduces the oral transmission of folk tales from around the world by inviting friends to illuminate the stories through asana.

No mats needed, only comfortable clothing. Lesson themes center around the 5 Yoga Calm® principles of Stillness, Listening, Grounding, Strength, and Community.

About Ivett Almaguer

Ms. Ivett has a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Temple University and has taught many subjects to children of all ages in both public and Montessori Schools since 2001.

She started practicing yoga in 2007 at a YMCA and fell in love. She is an Yoga Calm® adult and child certified teacher as well as Street Yoga trained.

She lives to tell stories, sing, make mandalas, and dance. Ivett plans to build and live in her own tree house in Guatemala one day.
